S.A.R.P. Membership Categories

There are six types of S.A.R.P. membership categories and the related fees:

• Professional members $100.00
  
• Affiliate members $75.00
  
• Associate members $60.00
  
• Student members $30.00
  
• Alumni members $40.00
  
• Honorary Life members

Professional Membership

Available to individuals employed in the leisure services field. Individuals must possess a minimum of a diploma in leisure studies and a minimum of 1 year work experience.

Note: Professional members must serve a minimum of 1 year as an Affiliate member. Professional members must be residents of Saskatchewan.

Affiliate Membership

This category is for individuals who meet the educational requirements for professional membership but have not yet acquired the necessary years of work experience.

Note: Affiliate members must be residents of Saskatchewan.

Associate Membership

Available to individuals who ascribe to the values, vision, mission and goals of the Association who are not eligible for membership under other categories.

Note: Available to individuals who qualify for professional membership, but who do not reside in Saskatchewan.

Student Membership

Available to any individual enrolled in an accredited post secondary leisure service program or related field who is not employed full time.

Alumni Membership

For individuals leaving the field of recreation due to retirement or for those taking a leave of absence of one year or longer.

Honorary Life Membership

For individuals regarded as mentors and valued for their expertise and long term service to the profession and the Association (this designation is awarded to members by the S.A.R.P.).
